A very charming and super cute 1970s figural ceramic owl creamer jug decorated in a traditional Delft-inspired cobalt blue and white colour palette. This plump novelty bird features beautifully stylised hand-painted feather patterns, distinctive concentric "sunburst" details framing the eyes and a rather cheeky, but jolly, facial expression!
Unmarked on the base—as is common for imported boutique giftware from this era—the distinct mold, expressive face, and design features strongly evoke the iconic mid-century aesthetic popularised by collectible mid-century export brands like JSNY and Takahashi.
A perfect addition to a grandmillennial kitchen dresser display, a cozy cottagecore coffee bar station, or an eclectic blue-and-white porcelain collection. What a great talking point then owl would make at the tea table.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with crisp, bright cobalt blue hand-painted accents. Completely free of chips, cracks, structural repairs, or heavy surface stains.
This divine chap stands approx 8.5cm tall and is 10cm at the widest point (beak to end of handle)
