This stunning, discontinued Masons ironstone "Fruit Basket" lidded ginger jar is a classic masterpiece of traditional British pottery.
Proudly handcrafted in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire this elegant 5-inch storage jar showcases the iconic, intricate deep-indigo transfer design of a woven harvest basket overflowing with orchard fruits and trailing blackberries.
Standing at approximately 13cm tall, including the lid, its beautiful and bulbous spherical silhouette, that mirrors the abundant fruit it depicts, makes it highly visually striking.
This quintessential English piece is the absolute perfect statement for a blue-and-white kitchen dresser layout, a cottage mantle display, or for traditional country farmhouse styling.
In pristine vintage condition with absolutely no chips, structural cracks, or nibbles to either the main body or the inner rim of the lid. The glaze is smooth and glossy. Because Mason's ironstone is no longer in production, this is a highly scarce and collectible acquisition for any blue-and-white enthusiast looking to add a premium star to their collection.
