Meticulously handcrafted and signed by the renowned Anfora Águeda studio in Portugal, this piece features a whimsical, vibrant "Bird of Paradise" motif. The intricate brushwork showcases bright teal, pink, and yellow hues over a crisp white glazed background, beautifully capturing the spirit of traditional Portuguese folk art and French Faience design.
It has an elegant scalloped border and shallow shape. This versatile piece makes a wonderful decorative accent, vanity trinket dish, jewellery tray, or a unique appetiser/tapas serving platter.
Model Number: 127
Weight Unpackaged 168grams
Size Approx 16.5 x 12.5 x 3.5 cms
Excellent vintage condition. Beautiful glossy glaze finish with no chips, cracks, or structural repairs. Clean underside with clear hand-painted authentication markings. There is a faint black line to the left of the bowl which, I believe, occurred during the hand painting process. Please see the photographs and vide.
As a vintage, hand-decorated item, slight natural variations in the glaze and paint application add to its authentic artisan character. Hand washing is highly recommended to preserve the glazed finish.
