This piece is a fascinating example of English pottery history, featuring a rare Double Backstamp: the blue "Sheridan Finest Earthenware" seal overstamped with the dark green "Alfred Meakin Glo-White Ironstone" mark.
Pattern: Iconic "Pheasant in Flight" country scene.
Dimensions: Approximately 14cm (5.5") tall, 15cm from spout to opposite rim.
Material: Heavy-duty "Glo-White" Ironstone—durable and bright.
Design: Traditional open custard jug with a generous pouring spout and classic, sturdy handle.
This jug is in good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. As expected with authentic mid-century ironstone, there is some softening/wear to the gold gilt on the handle and on the rim in a couple of places, (please see photos). This wear is commensurate with age and adds lovely vintage character to the piece.

All items in my shop are authentic vintage or antique pieces. Because they have lived a previous life, they will often show the charming signs of time rather than "brand new" shop perfection.
