A beautifully detailed vintage thread painting entitled The Meadow, attributed to M. J. Haylock and dated January 1986 on the original handwritten label. Delicate layers of stitching depict a winding country path, meadow grasses and leafy hedgerows in soft greens, golds and earthy browns.
Presented in a circular aperture with an olive-green mount and a dark wood-effect frame with gold detailing, it has a wonderfully nostalgic English or French country-house feel.
