Vintage EIT English Ironstone Indigo Blue Transferware Mini Jug, 3" Miniature Pitcher, Country Cottage Scene Horse & Cart, Made in England
Vintage English Ironstone Tableware (EIT) Indigo Blue Miniature Jug
This charming miniature jug from English Ironstone Tableware Limited (EIT) features a highly detailed, deep indigo blue transferware design. It depicts a quintessential "English Scenic" pastoral landscape, including a rustic country cottage, a stone bridge over a winding river, and a horse-drawn cart laden with hay.
Perfect as a decorative creamer, a small bud vase, or a standout addition to a blue-and-white ironstone collection.
Key Features & Details:
* Maker: English Ironstone Tableware Limited (EIT), Staffordshire, England.
* Pattern: "English Scenic" / "River Scenes."
* Era: Circa 1970s.
* Colour: Deep Indigo / Cobalt Blue on a crisp white ground.
* Material: Authentic English Ironstone.
* Height: Approximately 3 inches (7.6 cm) - perfect for double serving of cream or half-and-half or maybe as a sophisticated toothpick holder for a formal dinnerscape.
Condition Report:
* Overall: Very good vintage condition with a bright, lustrous glaze.
* Note on Wear: The pouring spout has some micro-nibbles (tiny flea bites) along the rim. These are very small and present as a slight roughness to the touch rather than significant chips. They are consistent with the authentic vintage age of this 50-year-old creamer and do not affect its beautiful display quality.. There are also 2 tiny (1mm and 3mm) darkened scuff marks on the base rim, consistent with age and shelf wear.
* Structure: No cracks or repairs. Please review the close-up photos for a detailed look at the spout and base. Please ask if you would like to see more.
